Privacy notice
Last updated: 19 October 2026
This notice explains what personal information we collect when you use our website or speak to us, why we use it, who we share it with, and your rights.
Who we are
IA & Partners is a trading name of IA AND PARTNERS LTD (“we”, “us”). We are registered in England and Wales, company number 17527633, and our registered office is 4-6 Greatorex Street, London, England, E1 5NF.
We are the “controller” of the information described here, which means we decide how and why it is used. You can contact us at support@iapartners.co.uk or on 07848 487434.
What we collect
| From the enquiry form | Your name, phone number, type of business, how your customers pay you, roughly how much you take on cards each month, whether you want a recommendation or a statement check, and when to call you. If you choose to add more: your business name, how many businesses and machines you have, whether you need a POS or till system, what worries you most, your current provider and contract end date, your language, and who told you about us. |
|---|---|
| When we speak or message | What you tell us about your business, your needs and your current deal, including by phone or WhatsApp. |
| Documents you send us | For example a card machine statement, if you choose to send one. Please do not send full card numbers or online banking details. We only need the fees and contract terms. |
| Technical information | When you visit the site or send the form, our website host and form service receive technical information such as your IP address and browser type. This is normal for any website. |
Why we use it, and our legal basis
- To reply to your enquiry, call you back and write your recommendation. We do this to take the steps you asked for, and because we have a legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries.
- To introduce you to a provider. We only do this when you tell us you want to go ahead. We do it because you asked us to.
- To tell you about changes that affect a deal you take up through us. We do this with your consent (the box you tick on the form), and because we have a legitimate interest in giving you useful service information. You can withdraw your consent at any time.
- To keep records, deal with complaints and legal claims, and meet our legal duties. We do this because the law requires it, or because we have a legitimate interest in doing so.
- To keep our website and systems secure. We have a legitimate interest in doing this.
We do not use your details for marketing unless you ask us to. We do not sell your information.
Who we share it with
- The provider you choose. If you decide to go ahead, we pass on the details the provider needs so that it can contact you and set up your service. After that, the provider is responsible for how it uses your information, under its own privacy notice.
- Companies that help us run our business. These include our form provider (Formspree), email, phone and messaging services (including WhatsApp), and website hosting. They act on our instructions.
- Professional advisers and public authorities, where the law requires it or where we need advice.
How we are paid
If you take up a provider’s machine or system through us, that provider pays us a commission. This does not add to what you pay. You can read more on our homepage.
Sending information outside the UK
Some of the companies that help us may process information outside the UK. When that happens, we make sure appropriate protections are in place, such as an adequacy decision or UK-approved standard contract terms.
How long we keep it
- If you send an enquiry but do not go ahead, we keep your details for up to 12 months in case you come back, and then delete them.
- If you take up a provider’s service through us, we keep your details while we are telling you about changes that affect your deal, and then for up to six years for our records and in case of a dispute.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the information we hold about you;
- ask us to correct anything that is wrong;
- ask us to delete your information, in some cases;
- ask us to restrict how we use it, or object to our use of it, in some cases;
- ask for your information in a portable format, in some cases; and
- withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on it.
To use any of these rights, email support@iapartners.co.uk. We will reply as soon as we can and within one month.
If you are unhappy
Please tell us first, so that we can try to put things right. See our complaints page. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office, the UK’s data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.
